Data and Statistical Services (DSS) is a part of the Social Science Reference Center in Firestone Library at Princeton University. DSS offers resources and assistance in finding, using, and analyzing social science data to the current students, faculty, and staff at Princeton University only.

Using Data
You may get assistance in transforming or analyzing data via:
- online - Our Wiki pages contain information on frequently asked questions. Please visit these pages to see if your questions are answered there.
- email - If you have specific questions, you may email us. Please describe the problems you are having in as much detail as possible. The email support is open to Princeton University members. Please send your questions from your Princeton email address.
- in-person - If you are just starting out your analysis, or not sure how to ask your questions, coming to the lab during walk-in hours may be a good idea. If you need some data/statistics intensive assistance, you may walk-in or make appointments with a consultant.
Do File Depository
We are in the process of building an archive of "do files," Stata program files, with the accompanying data and the paper. If you have written a paper based on analyses of quantitative data, and have organized do files that created the output, please consider depositing them to us for others to reference. More...
